It is the philosophy of Cam Credits, Inc. to make a profit in each of its departments while adhering to all Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Business will be conducted honestly, ethically, confidentially and with integrity. The rights of the creditor will always be respected and protected as will the rights of the consumer. Every reasonable attempt will be made to collect every account referred for collection; open and honest communication, highly trained and motivated personnel and state-of-the-art technology will be employed to meet that goal. Cam Credits, Inc. and its staff will strive to be good citizens of their communities; giving generously of time, energy and money to those causes which make our communities better places to live and work.
Our History
In June of 1971, Credits, Incorporated of Pendleton, Oregon purchased American Adjustment Company from Jim and Eleanor Trimble who were operating the collection agency under that name. The Trimbles had been operating the Credit Bureau and a finance company since the early 1960s.
Jerry Campbell, an employee of Credits, Incorporated moved to La Grande to manage the new office. He successfully met the objectives set out for him and in February of 1977, Jerry and his wife Julie purchased the La Grande office of Credits, Incorporated and incorporated the business as Cam Credits, Inc. Julie (now Hickerson) assumed complete ownership of the business is August of 1984. Over the next 30+ years, Julie and her staff continued to provide excellent collection services for clients, utilize state of the art collection software, updating hardware and software to stay on the cutting edge of the technological advances made available.
Upon her retirement, Julie Hickerson sold Cam Credits, Inc., on January 1, 2015, to long-time employee Natalie Goodnight and her husband Coy Goodnight. Cam Credits, Inc., employs 6 people, including Coy and Natalie. The area served by the corporation is Union, Wallowa, Baker, and Grant counties.
Cam Credits, Inc., continues to be locally owned and operated and exceeding yearly expectations.
