How long has Cam Credits, Inc. been in business?

The headquarters office of Cam Credits, Inc. in La Grande, Oregon has been in business since February of 1977 and under current ownership since 1984. The Baker City office was purchased and converted to the La Grande computer system in August of 1992. The collection databases for the region date back in both offices to the early 1970s.

What are Cam Credits, Inc. professional affiliations?

We at Cam Credits Inc. have always valued our relationships within our industry. Oregon has a very strong association of debt collectors; the Oregon Collectors Association. We have been an active member of this association since our inception and our President Natalie Goodnight has served as Secretary since 2016. We also belong to ACA International and two of their divisions specializing in Government Services and in Healthcare Services. Our membership in these associations keeps us abreast of all of the latest legislation, collection techniques and provides excellent training opportunities to aid us in providing the best service for our clients.

What about training and competency of your collection staff?

Our staff at Cam Credits, Inc. is a group of highly motivated, professional ethical employees. Our collectors are all certified by ACA International and continue to avail themselves of training opportunities offered both in-house and through ACA International. We believe knowledge is power and our staff has amassed a wealth of information about our area, our economy, and the techniques necessary to successfully collect debts for you.

What services does Cam Credits, Inc. offer in addition to full-service collection?

Our services include Accounts Receivable consulting, billing, skip-tracing, precollect, and full collection. In other words, if you have a credit and collection need, we are here for you.

How do I obtain a credit report on myself?

Visit annualcreditreport.com, a site that is sponsored and maintained by the three credit reporting repositories; Trans Union, Equifax, and Experian. You can obtain a free credit report each year on this site from each repository. If you request a credit score, they will charge you for that service.

What happens if the consumer from whom I am trying to collect moves out of our local service area?

Cam Credits, Inc. prides itself on local service with a global reach. We have extensive resources to locate consumers who have left our area. If necessary we can forward accounts to our affiliates anywhere in the world to effect collection. We also do skip-tracing on your accounts to give you the information you need prior to turning for collection. Rates vary by volume.

What if the account I refer for collection requires legal action to collect?

Cam Credits, Inc. offers full-service collection. If legal action is required and small claims is not an option, we have legal counsel on retainer to handle any situation which might present itself.

 

When should an account be turned for collection?

  • Notices are being returned with “no good address”
  • Failure to respond to your statements or phone calls
  • Lapse in payment agreements
  • Repeated changes in occupation and address
  • 90-120 days without a response

When any of the above conditions exist, it may be time to turn in your account for collection.
